Overview

Lecturers often build their courses around slide decks, yet converting these slides into engaging video tutorials involves scripting, recording, synchronising narration and editing—tasks that can take hours per lecture. Sozio's vision was to create a web‑based tool that accepts a presentation file and automatically produces a high‑quality video tutorial with human‑sounding narration, timed transitions and optional callouts. In other words, it turns "slides → finished lecture" into a seamless workflow.

To achieve this, we:

  • Simplified the workflow: users upload slides, preview an auto‑generated narration script and timing, then make adjustments via an intuitive timeline editor.
  • Integrated expressive AI speech synthesis: the system reads slide content, adds appropriate pauses and emphasis and produces natural‑sounding audio that can be fine‑tuned by lecturers.
  • Rendered polished video: slides are combined with narration, animations and annotations to create downloadable MP4s that can be embedded in learning management systems.
  • Delivered analytics: lecturers receive usage dashboards, revealing how often students watch videos and where they pause or replay segments, guiding future refinements.
